In September 2019, The New Zealand ASEAN Business Alliance (NZABA) held its inaugural business conference in Bangkok, Thailand with the theme 'Boosting Connectivity Across ASEAN'.
The Conference was designed to bring together NZ businesses from across ASEAN and NZ to experience workshops, keynote speakers, site visits and more. SEA CAPE was excited to be working with NZABA, ANZBC, MFAT, NZTE and others in Thailand on this memorable and business focused event.
The 'Boosting Connectivity Across ASEAN' Conference gave attendees the opportunity to:
Showcase their company to a diverse and influential audience
Network with international business leaders from across ASEAN and NZ, key decision makers and senior government officials
Learn about ASEAN business from top ASEAN business people - via panels, keynotes and site visits.
Demonstrate their commitment to the ASEAN Region
Attendees heard from key note speakers including: Pannee Chengsuttha (Senior Investment Advisor, Thailand Board of Investment), Clare Wilson (Regional Director East Asia, NZTE) and SEA CAPE ASEAN@50 fellow Dr Thitinan Pongsudhira (Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University)
Panel discussions " SMEs; Surviving and Thriving in ASEAN" and "Market Entry and Expansion" led by Mario Jordan (Magdellan) Fetalino III and Willy Pham respectively, were moderated by another SEA CAPE ASEAN@50 fellow, Dr Pavida Pananond. Panelists included a range of academics, business people and government officials.
