The CAPEs 2019 Market Insights Programme (MIP) took place from July - September, with domestic and international students completing placements in New Zealand businesses, who are looking to export their services and products in the Asia-Pacific region.
After the success of MIP with SEA CAPE and LatAm CAPE in 2018, this year’s MIP was introduced to Auckland by the North Asia CAPE making it a cross-CAPEs project.
Students were selected through a competitive application process and were guided by dedicated academic mentors throughout the programme. Throughout the programme, participating students and businesses attended specialist workshops and enjoyed valuable networking opportunities where they heard from local expert partners such as Silvereye Communications and BECA.
Students had to complete a non-mission critical project tailored to their business’ needs and help their host business to engage more in their chosen region. Following their placements, students presented their insights to their peers and host businesses and submitted an essay summarising their placement project.
Congratulations again to all participating students and thank you to our host businesses; Good Travel Limited, Healthy Start, Integrity Plus, Mela Juice, New Zealand Post, PikPok, Tailor Skincare, Our Energy Limited, Survive-It Civil Defence & Emergency Equipment, Tuia Group, Agrisea, Blue Pacific Materials, Dairy Solutionz, Datamars, Gallagher, Hunter Filling Systems, Proform, Rurtec, Tatua Dairy, ATEED, Comvita, Datatech, Eat the Kiwi, Ecostore, Meltrons & Wahiki
