BizVenture is a week-long programme that exposes New Zealand high school entrepreneurs to the opportunities awaiting them in Southeast Asia. A collaboration between SEA CAPE and Young Enterprise, the programme's experiential nature promotes curiosity and learning about the region.
Participants spend a week in a Southeast Asian country where they learn about the business community and culture by visiting a range of established and emerging businesses. They meet local entrepreneurs and key players in business and trade. Throughout the week, the students collaborate on a business presentation and pitch document with their counterparts from a local school. The week culminates in a business challenge where all students come together to pitch their business idea to their peers, invited guests and a panel of judges.
BizVenture is an opportunity for young Kiwi entrepreneurs to extend their global business knowledge and their understanding of the trade environment. It builds upon New Zealand's great track record for fresh thinking on the world stage and encourages lasting connections with Southeast Asia.
SEA CAPE's inaugural BizVenture takes place in Bangkok, Thailand from 28 September - 5 October, 2019. Read about the selected students here.
*The programme was formerly known as the Business Challenge and has taken groups of students to Singapore (April 2018, January 2019), and Vietnam (April 2019).
